I am a student at Baker Online College for my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS). Two of the general course requirements include SPK201 and SPK401, courses teaching students how to acquire skill in oral communication and then giving oral presentation for business. The problems with online courses are that the teachers are NOT in formal setting — such as business or office room in order to teach a classroom. They are also randomly selected on the first day of the course. They also can teach at any time of the hour — and the same is true of the student. How can I make this work as a deaf student with an interpreter in this scenario? I await your suggestions or ideas! Thanks! PS Yes, I realize the irony of my appearance — I’d flunk on the first day of the course!
