How do You Recession Proof Yourself and Follow Your Dreams?

If you are currently pursuing adult education, you may wonder if the money you are putting into an online degree worthwhile given the cost of food, the price of gas, tuition – you may even wonder “is this online education certification going to pay off?”     Why would you think about an online degree during a recession?  Quite simply, you can boost your earning potential and stay employed.  Studies have shown that individuals who have a degree not only earn more money, they can change jobs much more easily, and their skills are more transferrable which means getting into another career is easier..

Let’s take a reality check, shall we?  In the last 100 years we have had a number of recessions, inflation has increased, technology has replaced jobs, and the list goes on and on.  However, what remains true is that every time we’ve experienced an economic downturn new opportunities have presented themselves.

Individuals who choose the path of distance online education show some unique characteristics that are often admired.  Your commitment to better yourself shows dedication, determination, discipline and the ability to go above and beyond what is expected.  This can truly enhance your career.

Taking control of your destiny and preparing yourself for the future, no matter what you hear is the only way to go.  Focus, stick to your plans, don’t let fear and anxiety get in your way.  If you are not already enrolled in a educational program, there are numerous distance online education institutions.

There are a lot of distance learning education and online degree opportunities from accredited online education colleges and universities throughout Canada and the United States.  If you are undecided as to what educational opportunities are out there, you may wish to explore:Online degrees in education, graduate degrees, administration, classes, masters degrees, nursing, paralegal, teacher, early childhood, etc.

Many individuals weigh returning to school very carefully as they feel baffled by the prospect of starting up from the beginning.   Although they may have been functional professionals for ages, they still have to take virtually basic college classes in order to begin a degree at a conventional university. Nowadays, more and more individuals are determining that online academic degree programmes are the way to go. Colleges and universities that offer online academic degrees realize the frustration of returning students, this is why they offer college credits for work and life experience for their online degree programs.

If you interrupted your education in order to participate in the work force or became a parent that is not an issue.  If you are now available to comeback to school, you are considered a non-traditional student. Many non-traditional students say they are not completely comfortable among the much junior classmates found on a college campus.

These returning students usually have work and family responsibilities that make it tough for them to attend regular courses of study. They have attained great life experience in the workplace, and through varying forms of community involvement.  Online academic degree courses of study almost always take into account the experience you developed outside of school.

See really there is no reason not to pursue your dreams.  Best of luck to you ~ you are going to be amazing!
